Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

All Deserving

Whether you think you lost or won
No matter what your views may be
On the president now, the last one
Or, indeed, on the other forty-three
The time has come to make a stand
For all of us, all around the world
Not to relabel, belabor or rebrand
Tout bank account or flag unfurled
Way we act, I wonder why I care
We grieve and pray, but don’t act
Lives gone, altered past all repair
Time to say this without any tact
People with guns kill other people
So too do our lawmakers, the NRA
Fueled by paranoia, flag or steeple
All just terror and only victims pay
Every vote that aids the shooters
Must be put on trial for every death
Must pay the price for fell suitors
Serve a year for each loss of breath
Until our lawmakers and lobbyists
Are found guilty of crimes they abet
Arms dealers are judged terrorists
We all deserve exactly what we get
