Even when I have much to say, it doesn’t seem to matter
as I listen to the pundits, they whine and buzz and natter.
Though, I suppose, more people listen to them than to me.
So what I have to say doesn’t mean what it means, I see.
If some future civilization discovers my words were true
It will be far too late to mean a thing to either me or you.
