Joy fills the air. People dance
past the colorful carts, listen, listen
to songs of the vendors wares.
Imagine you are actually there.
Lovers walk out hand in hand.
clutched close in each other’s embrace.
Walk towards the sunset, away from dawn.
No thought of the distance or the toil;
the journey will last the time it takes.
Through bright, sunny days, dark nights,
cloud shadowed and full of terrors.
Not real but believe so in our fear.
