Themes of water and waiting
Speak to me, beg to come out
and play across every page.
I must carefully protect them.
Stains, tears, random sweat.
What grace flows through me?
Labors of love spiced by tears
When I, another captures ink,
flowing into Rorschach blots.
They become different words
than those I scribble in haste.
Softened, sharpened, no better,
worse than rendered, other.
Now I ramble, fight to capture
feelings flowing through me.
So swift I must imprison them
behind bars of my weakness,
inability, fear to express what
I imagined in my mind’s eye.
No true vision, karma; lies
I tell me, to learn my truth.
I believe fate of my creation;
expresses of another’s dream.
