Peeking Through Time and Space ~ Philip Brent Harris

The first day of a new month has come.
Countdown to the middle of each year.
This marked different meanings to some
When the day and night grew equal near.

What is, was the meaning of man’s time
While we still site sacred days, seasons?
Perhaps it says still how steep the climb.
Tells of failing existence, human treason.

The veneer of civilization is so very thin
We’ve but to scratch it to mar the whole.
We poor apes who thought only to begin.
Never learning imbalance costs our soul.

We saw multiple examples in daily life.
Night to day, one of the more obvious.
Our predator killed our prey, got strife.
Sad, to all the hints, we were oblivious.

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,
Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment 

Unite the World!
