That’s Why

These days, life feels so crazy and confusing.

It does not one bit of good to keep refusing.

I simply cannot spend all my time snoozing.

I find no answers in the books I’m perusing.

I am told it’s about the winning and losing.

And I think this more than a little bemusing.

Leaves me battered; it is so bloody bruising.

I guess, there are things I could be infusing.

Most days I believe I might take up boozing.

While channels on the idiot box I’m cruising.

Show me stuff they tell me I should be using.

Drugs on offer, may leave me dead or oozing.

I do not find a single bit of this shit amusing.

Our no ball leader scares me, his lies suffusing.

No truth; his time spent dodging and accusing

Explains why my days feel crazy and confusing.
