None So Blind

None So Blind

Fandango in Blue and Gold ~ Philip Brent Harris

It is time to put people over politics, country over capitulation and world over wealth.

Spinning stories, so I may begin to understand.
Walking within a sheltered wood, artist’s view,
as pine needles slip beneath my steps and recall,
soft, changing winds, tires on newly-fallen rain.
Ideas from distant time, till this one, right now.
Our special insights, through eyes, ears, hands,
as composers, artists, writers interpret our life.

They might not fully comprehend what comes.
The new exists not in the past times, but future.
What eyes would see van Gogh, ears hear Ives?
Heralds, dazing senses, scandalizing sensibility,
till some yet-unborn prophet conquers our fear,
as our vision clears, so truth floods our corneas.
Neither unsung hero, nor ugly duckling to swan,
until one is not blind; neither I nor thee will see.

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,  Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment
