It is time to put people over politics, country over capitulation, and world over wealth.

All of us,
pawns
in a world
full of
sound and
fury.
With overtones,
undertones,
key changes,
abrupt screams,
staccato bullets
muffled by
frail flesh,
silenced forever.
Leaving
rivulets red,
brains, gore, guts,
belying any
intelligence,
fellow feeling.
Promoting
hatred
shouted at us,
until
we go mad,
forget
the tragedy
is not
intolerance,
paranoia,
fear,
violence
but our failure
to remember
most people
get along.
Yet,
we change nothing.
