Perhaps you’ll remember; it’s known to me
Ask learned wordsmiths what may be found
Some words are not well known or jargon
Describing music, motors or woodworking
Almost anything, some examples far-gone
Quantum physics and silliness of twerking
Take otiose, a word that defines itself truly
New fields, where words must be invented
Words modified and corrupted noted duly
And words, like an atomic bomb, resented
Do we choose to be less or more erudite
Words used define, who we become, are,
May we sit down together instead of fight
And doing so, choose peace and not war?
