How many names will not be remembered
What numberless stories will never get told
Life on the Earth, with no guaranteed word
No one may remember when you grow old

Is this any way important when we are loved
Mothers, fathers, family, friends do abound
To chosen families, we are fitted and gloved
With a pet or alone, meaning may be found

Why would only names remembered count
When each, all of us has changed our world
Good, bad, ugly, praiseworthy or no account
All names unknown, known equally whorled
