For all the things we’ve learned,
how little we must understand?
Considering we are destroying
the only home, habitat we have.
I would change that, if I could.
I try to do my small part, while,
I feel so helpless in the face of
rapacious greed, sheer insanity.
We let people lead us who don’t
care about us in any way, except
to exploit us, to take our money,
homes, our lives, all for a vision,
of a lost time which didn’t serve
humanity as a whole. That’s what
they would have: a limited: supply
of people who look, act, and think
the way they do, ignoring the fact
our world would not exist today
without those they deem evil and
other. Will AI, robots, serve them
in a future they envision for us all.
