Small Universe at Large ~ Philip Brent Harris

Hope in darkness lingers in low tones.
Sustained tremolo and plangent reserves.
When we are deep into winter’s night. We
know that some tomorrow, we’ll see light.
Even those who live through months of
darkness, realize they will watch the sunrise.
Lingering above the horizon for days that
may bring madness. How can we believe
in any god, when we have all connection?
Must we believe in nothing? Even when
something is less than nothing. Our universe
is so vast, I must believe in awe. Could I
choose otherwise? What choice do we have?
