All My Ducks in A Row ~ Philip Brent Harris

If I could imagine a bright future? But I do
all the time, yet short on specifics. My dreams
are not the triumph of one side over the other.
Balance, which is really just constantly slipping
one way or the other. Where life and death sit
down together and eat, bringing their finest
fare. Different every time, but rich, satisfying.
They talk, these old friends, tell stories, laugh
at life, death, themselves; watching far more
tales than in our minuscule galaxy and beyond.
All the numbers put forth, if accurate fit within
the nucleus of a single atom’s smallest neutron.

What false glory we create, travesties, tragedies,
triumphs, down to simply surviving, getting by.
We are the heroes of our own stories, because
this is the tale we have told ourselves forever.
So, if you fill with darkness or swallow light,
we must recall both are critical for existence.
Despite what we know, have, do, pairs work.
We damage them at our peril. Please see the
foolishness of either extreme. You may find
the swing of the balance scales less thrilling
or more, have trouble hanging on to them.
Remember, if you let go, you’ll land in parts
known. Will you recall you have lived there
before and will live there again? Balance wins.

Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,

Unite the World
