Flowing Through Time ~ Philip Brent Harris

Where are we going? Where have we been?
Watch the camera take the pictures now, on
our journey to other times and other places.
Video to encode sound and feel, language.
Music, art, stories and, oh, so many things
serve as our time machines, although static.
We try, interpret, guess, at times, the whys,
and wherefores, the intention of this codex.
We may even get it right, sometimes, albeit
with no guarantee we did. Neither form nor
function will serve to delineate the swerve.
Even when the line appears straight, it will
be found to be an arc like the fickle pattern
that water in a stream flows in following,
seeking the path of least resistance. Study
it well. It’s a lesson most have yet to learn.
