Part Two

Stories we learn are the ones we live.
Rarely do we change how we interact.
Education may help us rise, but won’t
remove the education we had at home.
Were we taught, be a bully; it’s mine?.
Take more for ourselves than we give?
Our home means more than our house.
More than the land where we are born.
It is the foundation on which it grows.

Look deeper into your myths, legends,
creation story you learned when young.
Does yours have a peaceful deity, kin?
Does god show you how to grow, give
and teach you respect for the land, and
all living thing upon it, no matter what?
where subsequent generations must pay,
and respect all beings, to serve creation.
This was not story I learned when young.

I would choose this second story because
It all comes down to our relationship with
land and how we care for life it nourishes.
We must learn we all live as one, to know
we do not, cannot control what is absolute.
Now we are told we’re in control over all.
Sadly, it is just a set up destined to defeat
We are told we must when we should not.
We must tell other stories so we may live.

 Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment 

Unite the World!
