Every grain of sand that pings the glass.
Every blood-drop shed may be your last.
Every breath shared has history and time.
Every step taken and each hill you climb.

Parts of you sustained grass, filled the air
and grew flowers, trees, leaves, animals.
Despite what comprises you, you’re here
whether the day one more or it’s the final.

Your life goes round on a growing spiral.
All and every life, you’re nothing special.
Star stuff is around the globe, life’s viral.
Energy infuses us by the peck and bushel.

If we saw between the atoms of our being
We’d see us less and more than we believe.
Through all space and time we’d be seeing.
All we’ve done and been till next we leave.
