If a picture is worth a thousand words
And words can change our hearts and minds
Then art is necessary and cannot be absurd.
Though some would say this of multiple kinds.

Yet art, its movements appear in response
To world events, are often ahead of the curve.
They create a new language analyzed in fonts.
Artists intend to cause world events to swerve.

Though every artist may not recognize this
And some, I’m sure, would swear it is not true.
Yet as art can bring change, it also brings bliss.
Intended or not, art alters us, I propose to you.
