I gave up being normal when I was just a kid.

It wasn’t something that I planned, just something that I did.

What others found to be correct made me flip my lid.

Do not bother trying to change me, I won’t accept your bid.

I watch our angry world spin round as we daily plod,

Commit heinous acts, break all the rules; don’t you think that odd?

Knowing we may end up a dust bunny or a crumbly clod,

We claim or blame most anything if done in the name of some god.

Now you may think me wrong, crazy or a fool

Because I don’t agree with what you learned in your school.

I’d rather be thought bonkers than be anybody’s tool.

I’ll strive my best to treat you well, without being mean or cruel.
