The future need not remember for the past.
The aged, and their memories slipping away
Filling the young with energy and purpose.
Usually, we remain aware how life’s recall,
Reflects on our own deeds fueled by youth.
Despite any ignorance won, knowledge lost
We elide our essence, damn unknown cost.

What do we make of the forgotten amnesiac
Alone, reaching to remember a connection?
For one might turn the tide of lost memory
Return and crash upon the battered strand.
Breaking moments into grains of time and
Scattering and returning them until sense is
But braving shadows waving from before.
