A concert, if only in my living room.
If only, I say, though I can access zoom.
I could be on the street, cold and alone,
Clutching my belongings; I cannot atone
For following fools who led, pretended.
Their casual cruelty cannot be defended.
Nor much point in attacking their failure.
Drunk on power, money, life of pleasure.
Most will be painted with a broad brush,
With named villains, hope they crushed.
Heroes may be cited, though it’s a reach.
Meaningless, don’t learn what they teach.
