At Risk

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,  Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

~~~~~

At the risk that I repeat,
I am not feeling replete.
By cars upon my street,
I know I’m not an elite.

Fearing I only baa, bleat,
as my hours vanish fleet,
till I’m but merely meat,
and lying ‘neath the peat.

For life’s rarely ever neat.
It’s messy and indiscreet.
Sun, rain, snow and sleet;
as life ends, it’s complete.
