I sit in my car and write,
parked in a neighborhood
where I would like to live.

Unimpeded Pacific Ocean
view, out of my price range.
Beside bluffs atop Mavericks.

Big wave riding has no appeal,
though there is one exception.
The wildest ride; we call it life.
