As I walk among the redwood trees,
a funny sound I hear, a banana slug
oozing oh so slowly across my trail.
Birds sing, raven’s gossip, no secrets.
Breathe deeply, the freshening wind.
Watch leaves dance, as breezes sing.
Beauteous greens, greet the solstice,
showing nature as a force to abide.
