It Matters Not

~~~~~ It is time to put people over politics, country over capitulation and world over wealth.

I am searching for truth, beauty, inspiration,
that connection with spirit which is so strong
we can never let go of it; it can’t let go of us.
We are one, need only recognize us to see it.
I know, I can see myself in the mirror daily,
though on many days I wish that I could not,
believing lies about the meat bag around me,
as if it’s me and I’m better or worse than you.
But often better; who decides they are worse?
We’re all the same, when our costume’s gone.
Yet, we judge ourselves and constantly others.
We live life by which of our puppets is better.
We act, pretend we’re not killers and victims,
orphan child injured by war, soldier, refugee
Lost in the play, blind to our ultimate reality,
it matters not what our roles, only the actors.
