Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength, Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

Could it be, we all simply do not care,
enveloped within our bleak, petty lives
We trust wealthy, politicians, who say
won’t alter Earth so only they survive.
Hasn’t happened yet, that I am aware,
nor a thing to help our world survive.
We might well live outside, walk bare.
Any leader we asks only jukes or jives.
We are made from star dust, the same.
We must have, teach, never lose hope,
talk to trees, animals decide to remain.
Hold tight, sliding on a slippery slope.
Why harm others, put a hand in flame?
Are we so spent we can no longer cope?
Time we changed the rules of the game;
admit we’ve gone wrong, nourish hope.
