How misty the mountains in the distance,
as if they are 1,000,000 miles away. Steps,
perhaps, though not the way they appear
to me, when I gaze to the far horizon. Still,
each moment as distant and as near as the
most distant galaxy, long since vanished
from existence. These mountains, too, may
no longer exist. Simply light reflected from
a distant sun, which also vanished before
my life reigned within the spheres of time.
