How can I have too many notebooks?
A dastardly assertion.
Like saying I have too many
books. So what, if my stack
of To-Be-Read books would be taller
than my house, taller the city hall.
Yes, I admit
it might reach the moon.
But it’s not hoarding, if
it is books or notebooks.

Plus, sometimes we need to be
humbled. I go back and read
what I wrote in old notebooks.
Like rereading books;
they haven’t changed, but I have.
Unlike rereading books;
they don’t make my TBR pile
higher by a single inch.
That comes naturally, every
time I see a notebook I like.

Since I could continue this
silly screed for pages, if needed,
I must be a writer.
Yes, I admit
I own a lot of notebooks
of various sizes and shapes
depending on their use and
when I used them.
Still, enough about me. Are you
a Person Who Owns Too Many Notebooks?
