The tree forks stand proudly and
point to the sky, to the ground.
Some point directions unknown,
unimagined. Where do they lead?
Who’ll know where I have gone?
If not me, anyone? Love awaits,
if I’m bold or lucky. Adventure’s
overrated, though need or greed
may drive us onward. Destroy the
evil, claim the treasure, become
lost without a trace. Wondering.
