Do you suppose they smirk, cackle,
rub their hands together gleefully?
Supremes who believe it their right;
they remove rights from you and me.
We must speak loudly till they listen.
Bend ears, till they bend their knees.
These angry, unqualified misogynists,
a Betty Crocker never baked a cake.
All lying in private; all lying in public
with no qualms at all and no scintilla
of remorse, breaking a commandment
to rule women can’t rule their bodies.
Will they walk three steps behind their
master, bow and scrape with the help?
Unseen, not unknown; only essential.
As most live as if everything is normal.
