So many people believe themselves
the weavers of our tapestry or that it
was woven for them alone. One way
they are right; their actions creating
the warp and the weft, life’s visage.

They are also wrong. This tapestry’s
design existed longer than they’ve
been alive or could pretend it theirs.
Nevertheless, they take threads cut
and fray them, never understanding;
it will not create their desired image.

The tapestry will fall to pieces, with
bits here or there suggesting a whole.
It’ll never become the image sought.
Still, they’ll wrap scraps as if they’re
royal robes anointing them emperor.

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,
Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment 

Unite the World!
