How might I discover the way back?
Do I look for signs, follow the river?
I know in time, I will cross the river.
Without a boatman or spectral figure.
I think I will not be dressed in black
it’s the absence of color and vision.
I’ve seen celestial beings portrayed.
Because it is too difficult to render
All colors individually and together.
I digress from my original question
like I’ve taken a side trail searching.
I’m unsure where to where I wander
I wonder if I must discover that first.
Likely I need know where I will go.
That may take me by, carry me down
a river or trail, but I’ll bend the twigs.
I will move the leaves and leave steps.
I will grow and build till I reach home.
