People Over Politics, World Over Wealth!

They say we may remove our masks
But then again, they say maybe not.
May only sometimes; it’s situational.
Imagine a future where it’s seasonal.
Will it then become a style statement
At least, for all those who did not die.
Maybe we will have become divided
In a future with armed encampments.
Territories and tense border crossings.
Multiple no-fly zones to contend with.
The new states will not be contiguous.
Will fascism, bigotry end democracy?
Dumb. We are living in an oligarchy.
Those wealthy few who rule over us.
They dash us against each other. The
Young are shattered on rocks of war.
Brainwashed, bloodied, if they live.
Back home, scorned, riled to hatred.
Despite which side we may choose,
We are only sacrifices to mammon.
We fight poor against pore, ask why.
When climate change submerges us,
Rich will go to well-stocked bunkers
Leave all the rest to struggle and die.

Unite the World!
