Oh, to find my voice again
though I never really lost it.
In the grass, a wanton wind.
A bridge; I never crossed it.
Lost my vision in my mind
though I could always see it.
Certain that I’d gone blind.
Had a dream, couldn’t be it.
Ocean waved hi, goodbye,
azure skies reflected truly.
The mirror of my soul cries.
As my psyche grows unruly.
All to write this silly verse,
so I’ll continue to pretend.
Not to explain the universe.
It would be the living end.
