So that everyone may remember you.
Let me write your name upon the salt
So you may season all our daily fare.

Fair winds blow, whisper your name
Softly into the ears of infant children.
Where animals meet in their marriage,
Predator and prey, your name blesses.

Let your name be carried upon water
to circumnavigate spherical creation.
Let me breathe your name now, ever
and exhale your love upon humanity.

Your love fills the cosmos, not deity
and I would share your being freely.
Your being embodies life’s essence
no more mine to offer or to contain.

Your name is etched upon every rock
Contained in each seed, stem, flower
Bound into every fruit’s nourishment
and carried in digestion’s fecund end.

You quicken life in peace and plenty
And I would feel your flame forever.
You complete our cycle, tooth, claw,
Fang and venom, incarnate all being.

Let your name grace the banquet table
Where life and death partake together.
Let me introduce you, an unsung future
With a selfless act of purest generosity.
