Past the time that they were reaching,
they lost their way and brought the weeping.
While their idol raved and ranted
screamed he could never be supplanted
And it clashed with the truth of freedom.
During the riot I watched alone
Watched their fervor to enthrone.
That was the day the truth got smashed.
Like bells of warning, the barriers were crashed.
I sat stunned by the threat to the truth of freedom
Hordes surged forward with but one mind,
to murder anyone who got left behind.
For those they sought they all searched in vain
While they wrongly wrought others’ fear and pain.
When they plotted to end the truth of freedom.
Wild conspiracy theories drove them on.
They made sure the flags of traitors were flown.
They killed the cops they claimed as their own.
Tools they were, used to batter down our mighty walls.
Violent hooligans who stalked through our hallowed halls.
They ravaged our hopes and values with such glee.
Took pictures of themselves for all to see.
When their master called , they bravely ran away,
Pretended it must be someone else we saw that day.
Or claimed to be victims of the truth of freedom.
