Rain on the Horizon ~ Philip Brent Harris

Struggling deep in utter darkness.
Resolute, I march inevitably onward
To recognize I left the shelter
Of the womb which birthed me.
And yet, I still exist in darkness.
Struggling to create a light to shine,
And hope to illuminate a path
For me and others, to make our way.
I feel I may have found
The path for me, though I have
Stumbled more than twice and even
Fallen flat upon my face.
Climbed up with cuts and bruises,
Struggled on, drawn by a lodestone
Which I only vaguely recognize.
I ken what we see as daylight
Is just another cave in darkness.
And when we reach the end,
we finally see the light.

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,
Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment
Unite the World!
