From Seed to Tree ~ Philip Brent Harris

What would I see if I were a tree
looking both high and low?
Watching the rootless barely here,
before it’s their time to go.
Though they think there span
is more than enough to murder
me, who’s seen thousands of turns.
I understand passing our star
is only a matter of cycles
So far, for all of us
this star has been a constant.
Shedding both its heat and its light.
Sometimes here and sometimes else;
Wherever it’s not is night.
One day it will be neither one
Long after we’re all dead and gone.
I wait patiently and help all lives,
living the life where I belong.

Peace is Purpose,
Nonviolence is Strength,
Diversity is Unity,
Empathy is Empowerment
Unite the World!
