A new notebook, bright green, just because.
Writing this with my bright red fountain pen.
Using them to take me to where I’m going,
and away from the places I’ve already been.
Like time, we should flow with the stream.
To do otherwise, we either stop or get out.
It’s dead easy, no matter how it may seem.
Where you’ll go is something else entirely.
If we’re stuck, a rock that blocks the flow,
life and time pass us by and barely a touch.
To dislodge us requires a tremendous force.
We reject it; what don’t we want to know?
If life’s shattered, you may again know joy.
With bumps and lumps; what an adventure,
claiming your essence to build or to destroy.
Live each moment, be who you came to be.
