I had a thought yesterday
And it really made me think,
When people stop and pray
For a better life, a new sink,
Are words they think, say
An attempt to hoodwink
Themselves? You, say hey,
That sound like double-think.
What you want, at heart, may
Not match the words you think,
When you stop or not, to pray.
That thought made me blink,
That what I want and what I say
Cannot find a proper link,
To the each other, anyway.
Therefore, they are not in sync;
Your heart-truth will hold sway.
Prayer unanswered; that will stink.
You will worry the live-long day.
Only the one inside, made the uplink.
