No one wants to hear about pain.
Theirs, yours, or truly, anyone’s.
Still, many want to share theirs,
As long as they don’t hear yours.
These days, I see, all are in pain.
Physical, mental, psychic, unseen.
Even the rich, though they hide it,
Mask it with comfort, sated peers.
Inside, they know they are alone,
As all are alone, within our fears.
No worry, all joined as land to sea.
Calling one thing this, another that
We ignore there is only one planet.
Even distances between continents
Are imaginary, not separated, joined
Land to water to land, far as you go.
All connected, bound to the cosmos.
If you don’t believe, can’t conceive.
Sea splits rock, sand in sea on shore.
