Construction Zone ~ Philip Brent Harris

I walked along the sea and sand,
gathered followers on every hand.
I did not know them, nor they me.
Did we all wonder what we’d see?
No clue why the trailed, accident?
I strolled at leisure, with no intent.
Houses and people all left behind.
Was it but solitude I hoped to find?
I searched, where to sleep tonight?
Alone I hoped, under the starlight.
I settled on a log, they all went by.
I ask why they followed, no reply.
