I feel I can make sense of the world
for a day and maybe one day more.
Is it all because fingertips whorled,
made getting up today feel so poor?
I’ve much more than I had planned,
but I have much less than I dreamed.
What I have’s fire the flames I fanned.
My dreams yet pursued, not schemed.
