Interaction with humans is often
a hazardous proposition at its best.
Since others often end in a coffin,
Are we equipped to pass the test?
Speculative fiction likes to imagine
groups of advanced aliens out there,
we might someday join, if invited in.
If they’re out there, I wonder where.
Despite not knowing, why pick us?
Few here have managed to mature;.
Might as well be hit by a racing bus.
Till we brew a magic elixir, no cure.
A cure, you ask? It’s obvious to me.
We are suicidal and clearly depressed.
Prove me wrong, I dare you to try me.
If not suicidal, then maybe possessed
