On a trip to the dentist, oh what fun.
Needle jabs make your mouth numb.
Sharp tools prod, the pleasures none.
But not to go would surely be dumb.
Sit in a chair, be stood on your head.
Get up, a moment, ere you can walk.
One side of your face feels like lead,
For an hour or so, barely able to talk.
Know it’s important, go twice a year.
Unless I have cavities, then I go more.
I’d say, take a chance, nothing to fear.
And your smile may truly open a door.
