Slowly I climbed the stairs, almost home.
Though my steps are tired, the lights inside
will revitalize me, as I change from my
work costume into clothing I call my own.

Certainly you will understand when others
join you, sit down to dinner conversation.
Then, with fuel consumed, energy flows.
For a time, it’s as if the day started again.
