I come running down the stairs
wondering who has come to my door.
What’s in store? Today a day
like no other. What will I find? Who?
I suppose it might be you.
What joy and laughter will share
out upon the greensward.
We can picnic and toss a Frisbee
back and forth or more esoteric toy
from the past or future.
I know not where or when I meet you.
