Who Askew ~ Philip Brent Harris

Can you see the crazy man
standing over there?
You might think him normal.
I assure you he is not.
Stress has robbed his strength,
his ability to recover.

I’ve heard it said,
no rest for the wicked, or
no rest for the weary,
This is no rest for the busy.
Whether home, watching sports,
driving his tin Lizzy
to or from his job, the
first, second or third.

Beer in hand, he falls asleep
too exhausted to watch the fray
of the stupid, greedy men
who left his life this way.
In time, he must choose
those who lead him,
though, most likely,
only lead him on.

Forever.

Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,

Unite the World
