A loved-one to whom you don’t speak.
Are you waiting for them to say sorry?
When gone, you can’t recross that creek.
You have only today, no sure tomorrow.
Any instant may alter the world forever,
yet the unknown holds fears unforeseen.
You know you’ll live, you’re rich, clever.
You’re wrong. And it’s too late to say no.
Reach, struggle, grow past your borders.
It’s you who must change, no matter what.
This isn’t the riddle of the egg and the hen.
You may not change life, but you’ll grow.
