It is a time of great hope.
It is a time of great fear.
It is a time of lies
It is a time of truth.
How do we gentle harsh lies, hatespeak?
For we must not think to conquer it.
When evil seeks to frighten and divide,
agitating those who feel marginal, abandoned,
unaware they are conspiracy’s designated marks.
It leads to violence, hatred, even murder.
These, history’s default victims have been told
we are stealing something from them
or have stolen it already; but what is it, really?
Entitlement, fostered by decades of propaganda,
a created sense of superiority,
which is gone and makes them feel
as if they have been cheated.
Makes then feel. Full stop.
How do we share our truth,
When reason is confronted by riot?
When we seek community, the good of all.
Reaching out to those who feel marginal,
forgotten and lost within their home,
we are met with belligerence, brutality, bloodshed.
We must ways always respond with love.
We are pilloried in the public forum, called socialist, traitors.
Worse, we are accused of stealing a way of life from them.
We have stolen nothing; we want to give, to share.
What is our offer, really? Community, Peace. Survival.
Existence, fostered by health, care for all, growth.
We would encourage feeling so all may learn
Much of what we have been taught is not healthy.
It cannot save us. Full stop.

Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment
Unite the World!
