Falling Water

The water descends in trickling rills.
Light plays on the surface as it turns,
flows together into a deepening pool.
Sunlight strikes brief, bright sparks.
Separate, anticipated yet unexpected.
Their beauty from light sweet treasure
Where next will we discover lifegiving
water which we can never quaff. Still,
We perceive our thirst has been slaked,
and our hunger sated by the love light.
